A magnitude 5.6 earthquake in Cianjur Regency, West Java Province on Monday, November 21, 2022, caused casualties and damage to buildings in Cianjur. Based on data from the National Disaster Management Agency, 272 people died, 2,046 people were injured and 62,545 people were displaced. A total of 56,311 houses were damaged with 22,267 units heavily damaged, 11,836 moderately damaged units and 22,208 lightly damaged.

PT Malindo Feedmill Tbk together with the Ministry of Agriculture distributed basic food aid to victims of the Cianjur earthquake disaster. Through its CSR program, Malindo showed its leadership in an effort to meet the needs of the Cianjur community affected by the earthquake.

Together with assistance from other private parties, the Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Indonesia, Prof. Dr. Syahrul Yasin Limpo released the delivery of aid for cianjur earthquake victims at the Ministry of Agriculture Office on Thursday, November 24, 2022. Furthermore, the aid was sent to the Ministry of Agriculture post at the Cianjur Agricultural Extension Center to be distributed to the earthquake victims.
