The Singapore Food Agency (SFA) on May 22, 2023 has approved processed products from PT Malindo Food Delight and frozen chicken from PT Malindo Feedmill Tbk for export to Singapore. Malindo realized this by making the first shipment of processed product exports to Singapore.

The soft launch was held on Friday, 28 July 2023 at the PT Malindo Food Delight Factory in Cikarang, West Java. Present on this occasion the Director of PT Malindo Food Delight Rewin Hanrahan and Rudy Hartono Husin and employee representatives. Rewin Hanrahan, who on this occasion also represented management, said that the opportunity to be able to send Indonesian products to Singapore was not an easy thing. The audit process carried out by SFA is very strict, starting from the broiler farm, the poultry slaughterhouse (RPHU) to the processing factory. The requirements include the source of the chicken used must come from a farm that is free of Avian Influenza disease and already has an Avian Influenza free compartment certificate.

“Today, with the realization of exports of PT Malindo Food Delight’s processed products to Singapore, it is an important momentum for us, that Malindo products mean that Indonesian products can penetrate countries that are economic centers in Southeast Asia and even internationally. At the same time adding to our list of export destination countries, having previously successfully exported to Japan in 2020,” said Rewin Hanrahan.

Processed products exported to Singapore, namely the SunnyGold and Ciki Wiki brands, consist of karage and nuget variants with a total volume of around 6 tons. “We are optimistic that SunnyGold and Ciki Wiki products will receive a good market response in Singapore amidst intense competition and an economy that has not yet fully recovered. Malindo then targets to be able to realize frozen chicken exports to Singapore in the third quarter of this year.

“We also express our gratitude for the support from the Directorate General of Livestock and Animal Health, Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Indonesia, which has helped and assisted us starting from the Government to Government process, the SFA audit to the realization of this export,” said Rewin.

Overview of PT Malindo Food Delight (MFD) factory, located in Cikarang, West Java. Established in 2013 and has a capacity of 6,000 m3 tons. The MFD factory uses European standard machines. Currently accredited ISO 9001: 2015 Quality Management System and ISO 22,000: 2018 Food Safety Management System, has a Halal certificate from the Indonesian Ulema Council, BPOM and Veterinary Control Number (NKV).
