Heavy rains that flushed several areas in South Kalimantan Province on January 12, 2021 resulted in flooding in various locations.

This flood caused residents to die and hundreds of thousands of people were forced to flee because their homes were flooded. Not only the residents’ houses were affected, buildings or facilities such as bridges, schools, places of worship and roads were also damaged by the flood.

PT Malindo Feedmill Tbk, through its CSR program, on January 16, 2021 sent assistance in the form of instant noodles and chicken eggs. The assistance was given to several locations close to Malindo’s farm and hatchery, namely in the areas of Sarikandi Village, Pulau Sari Village and Bentok Kampung Village, Tanah Laut Regency, South Kalimantan. Assistance was also handed over through the Tanah Laut District Animal Husbandry Office and the Tanah Laut District Secretariat to assist residents in other locations.
